Hypothetical Travel... It's the cheapest.

I have a serious case of wanderlust. I have plans in the works for a couple different little trips here and there, and hopefully a big girl vacation in April. But while I'm sitting here in NYC, checking off my to-do list of school work, design work, and personal projects I can't help but find myself scrolling through my Take Me There board on Pinterest. If you check it out you'll see it's mostly lakes, woods, and places where nature is its most raw. That's the kind of thing I love -- find me a dock, in a secluded, natural, pure place and I'll be just fine. Don't come looking for me.

Total complete bliss.

I don't know if this confession will hurt our friendship or not, but I'm not a beach girl. I hate how the sand sticks to literally EVERYTHING, how the water is so salty (bleh), and I burn... I burn bad. Therefore, having to reapply and reapply and then oh, reapply again, I have come to really dread the thought of putting on sun lotion. Which then sparks up my first dislike of the beach -- it makes the sand stick even more! It's a horrible, horrible, vicious cycle of annoyances. The only thing it's got going for it is the smell. The smell and the view. But then again as I stare out across the endless ocean I get super freaked out thinking about all that is down in those waters and all that the human race has still to discover. I once heard (but don't quote me on this) that we know more about the surface of the moon than the bottom of the ocean. That freaks me the freak out. You too?!

However, if I'm not hiking and chilling lakeside, another setting I'd be perfectly content with would be a fantastic little winery with fantastic views, stunning barns, and yummy snacks and wine. Of course wine. I used to come across vineyards on Pinterest and other blogs and be like, "Why can't I be 21 so I can go?!?!"... but guess what? I AM NOW! So I'm thinking this place, Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, may be first on the list. I follow them on Instagram and am daily reminded of how much I'd love to be there. Just look at these pictures (which don't belong to me by the way, they are from here). Anyone want to join me? We can wear pretty sundresses, floppy hats, and our favorite pair of sunglasses. I know I just made that irresistible.

And make sure you check out the post from Pippin Hill Farm's blog. They posted about one of the weddings held there. OMG. To die for.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
